The Project
Delivered for Trinity College, Cambridge, this project saw Zero Workspace transform 14,000 sq ft over a 20-week programme.
The extensive refurbishment of Unit 300 at Cambridge Science Park transformed the existing building into a modern CAT A workspace.
A key part of the brief was to decarbonise the building. The existing gas systems were removed and replaced with new, energy-efficient electric heating and cooling, alongside new HVAC and electrical services. Electric vehicle charging points were also introduced as part of the wider upgrade.
The works included the demolition of the previous internal fit outs, new toilets and showers, a lift upgrade and the refurbishment of the building’s window frames. Externally, a new flat roof membrane and plant deck were installed to support the upgraded building services.
The result is a significantly improved, more energy-efficient building that is ready for its next generation of occupiers.
